Is it just me or Post Dominion has the drop rate, er disappeared for these?
Over past month been missioning in Empire (over 40 missions with full salvage from all of them), and now down in Low-sec for 2 weeks now (again ran many anoms, many belts, many radar sites etc). And er, not a single cap console. Whats going on? Prior to this I got a few at least.
This is all in Gallente space, but if I'm right this could result in a huge huge increase in price to these and modules that use them... (CCC rigs).
Can anyone comment so I can get an idea if this is just me or not - I've been playing EVE a lot this month (in preference to blogging sorry!) - with over 70 hours clocked up!!! - which is more than I usually would play!

The Big Industry update
Current stats: 300Mln available cash, 275M on market.
Good news : Minerals are officially no longer a problem. Have a stockpile of 100mln units of Trit, 40 Pye, 5 Mex, and enough of the high-ends to meet production for next few weeks.
Also have a buy-order for another 100million Tritanium out there. Its so cheap right now, it would be crazy not to - I can't honestly see the situation staying the same.
Production wise, I have my maximum 9 slots committed to builds for the next 10 days. I'm almost needing a production alt to get another 9 slots - the sheer volume of builds required is the problem.
The reason: Plan to expand the DSTIC empire to another 1/2 sales stations I've identified to speed up isk generation. Currently the build queues can support this - they only stop right now when minerals run out - this should hopefully double sales volumes as until now only 2 stations are "sales" hubs.
Jax seems to not be online at all now, so I'm reduced to a one-man corp effectively. This means recruitment is now open.... If you play UK hours of typically 7-12pm, and most commonly on 10-midnight, contact me ingame on the character Deafplasma. I can teach you production and supply access to the corporations blueprint stocks (use only access), and give you some pointers on where to sell stuff..... You need production efficiency 5, ideally voice comms via Eve voice (as its free), and a desire to make ISK for yourself and the corporation.
The other *great* opportunitie I've spotted needs a freighters to leverage unfortunately - basically its a double your money over time opportunity, with 83mln to be made every 30 days or so, and will only tie up half that amount of isk!!! :) But with this paying for a freighter over a year easily, I'm thinking of buying one, as it will also make mineral purchases interesting/fun. I've tried the method successfully, its the sheer volume to be hauled that causes the problem (its about 500,000 m3 needed every month).
I've also been online more recently.
And what would a post be without welcoming all the new members to the blog pack:

Indusrial Meanderings and odd trading strategy
Well, I've been told that I need to post a bit more about industrial activities and whats going on in the world of DSTIC trading wise.
Current status: 500mln cash, 100mln in buy-orders, 250mln in sell orders.
Mineral stockpile: Reasonable, but needs replenishing for Tritanium and Nocxium.. all others have enough to restock the market between 3 and 5 times. (its about a 400-500 mil stash).
Build Queue: Just finished all 9 slots which have been building restock items last 5 days.
Blueprint/research status: Nothing in research, this is in preparation for the POS build - as easily can fill 1 or 2 labs currently...
What I've recently been doing industry wise, is more aggressively staking my claim in the market -Basically as almost 100% of the BPO's owned by DSTIC are more researched to within 0.01 loss, I can produce and only make a 8-11% margin rather than the usual 40%. Some may say "why sell low when you can make more money - the answer in my region is volume and time - I can make more in bulk than I ever can in small volumes...". This is meaning I'm aggressively pursuing a region wide lowest price in some cases, meaning my items are selling in bulk to seemingly T2 producers (who don't always have researched T1 BPO's meaning I can build/sell for less than they can build). Some items get sold out way before I get a chance to restock now due to this, and the turnover is amazing. Its not unusual to sell 250-500 of some items inside 5 days.
The change soon however will be the move to T2 production in-house. Some of the POS lab slots mentioned will be going to T2 component BPO's, which need research to "perfect" levels.
....
The other big big change in 10-15 days will be the ability to pilot a Hulk. Mining - I usually wouldn't consider it, but some of the sites that have been found via exploration in low-sec made me reconsider that assumption. The plan: To be self-sufficient in higher-end minerals, and maybe even supply market for a few of these.
The other aspect which I can't really discuss, is the move to market prediction - where I think a demand will exist in the future - I am pre-buying items to meet that demand - its a risky strategy, as I'm building a stockpile of what may be "useless" or low demand items now - but they may be highly profitable in 3-4 months time. Similar to share prices I'm speculating to accumulate, but with real items...
Its hard to be specific on the blog on some trading/industrial activities, as if I do, I may give away "insider" tips, which would result in my whole strategy being ruined ....

Launch of "The Mighty Mouse"
A very expensive shopping trip, and I have one Helios Covert operations frigate named "The Mighty Mouse". This one won't be seeing low-sec (much) - but is fitted with lots of cool technology.... 2x Gravity Capacitor Upgrade 1 rigs for a start, so its not a cheap ship. I think all-in, it cost me around 60 mln ISK. An investment in my scanning/probing career for sure.
The good news is, the investment has proved worth it. I had a radar site probed out around 60 seconds after entering a system yesterday, and had "hacked" the nice Invention tools (50mln ISK) out after about 3 minutes - way better than the 15 mins minimum I'd got pre-Apocrypha. Several other bloggers have been reporting just how nice the "Deep Space Probe" and I can attest to this. Scan once at 4 or 8 AU, and then centre in at 2AU. That simple, and now I'm practiced with probes (and have way more scan strength) it allows a very quick evaluation/warp in point to a hit.
The downsides are other people appear to have found same trick - so much so that the entire constellation and the one next door quickly had had every single probe hit (cosmic signatures at least) well and truly finished - only hits being wormholes. I need to pick up some combat probes, if only so I can keep an eye on my back when in W-space. Is anyone else doing similar?
I also finally last night found my first two wormholes. I swear they were hiding from me before - as
Next plans are to have an extended low-sec roam on Sunday for possible locations for another FoB. People probably know I'm a 'bear' at heart, and I want a nice "safe-ish" place to stay and probe in low-sec, where the bounties are higher.... I think I'll be looking at my eve-maps book for possible locations soon. Myself/Jax had made a run to one potential site down in Amarr low-sec, which is a nice amount of jumps from high-sec (8-9), and low population.... The downsides being I am KOS in high-sec Amarr space so logistics may be a problem. If only I had a jump-drive ship. Logistics though are dealable.
On subject of Industry, well, was amazed yesterday. Some kind individual brought over 100mln ISK of items from DSTIC stores (this is normal tech-1 gear). Corp cash reserves (even with 50 mln in buy-orders) now stand at 400mln, with 250mln on market. Mineral stocks are also okay - but Mexallon is becoming a problem (down to 250k, with 3mln outstanding in buy-orders). The issue is just how quickly the buy-orders are being filled - they are not keeping up with module production for sales. Planning to spend cash on a corporation hauler or two (or three) - for movement of goods quicker - and some POS parts to get ready for POS operations in the medium term (I accept this is a high-risk endeavor, so will be going "cheap" at first.
I'm also considering getting the region-wide market skills sorted, so I can place remote-buy-orders, and alter existing orders. It should allow some interesting market manipulation without having to jump 20 hops.
The training plan for next two weeks is looking like:
Deafplasma: Iteron V (4 days left), Transport ships, Anchoring to V (about 10 days).
Deafturret: Rapid firing V (4 days), Weapon Upgrades V (6 days), Medium Blaster Specialization/Medium Railgun..
What I am missing though is other corporation members/friends to hit w-space/low-sec with - so either need to get recruiting or wait for Jax's return. As I've got most of Sat evening (UK time) to play EVE you should be able to contact me online if you're interested (character is Deafplasma). Corporation primarily based in Ours, but have operations in a few other areas....

Industrial/weekly update
Characters skills update:
Had to take a small diversion caused by a lack of market slots. I've got items stacked up waiting to sell, but no slots to use to do so...! Overall about 20 days until Deep Space Transports and thus hauling large quantities becoming possible from low-sec to high sec and vice versa with a lessened pirate risk.
Overall the corporation is doing reasonably despite my lack of attention. No new members and no sign of Jax for a week or so. Can't wait to keep playing, and its looking like I'll have a full weekend of hardcore EVE-time gameplaying coming up this month (Saturday 21 March -> Sun 22 evening). Perfect given launch of the new expansion on 10th March (which btw, I can't wait for!).
Corp Marketplace stats:
This week expecting to be online on Wed, Sunday only (when not gardening) due to fact I'm away again over weekend, visiting a friend all day Sat and not arriving home until late Sunday...

Corp Marketplace stats:
- 375mln ISK of items for sale on market in 48 lines of business in one station. This isn't growing as quick as I'd like as finding market opportunities in tech-1 manufacture appear limited. Going to have to bring forward T2 manufacturing I think from being a "would be nice" to being a must-have.
- 250mln in bank - this is going to have to be spent on datacore/decryptors I think.. or new BPO's for research.

New Member to corp
We'll see how it goes - but invited a new-ish player(who appeared lost) to join Corp when traveling via Algogille on Sunday to drop-off items for sale and pick up items purchased....
Unfortunately due to my time being extremely limited we didn't get much time to fly together... Most time spent being setting her up with cruiser hulls and t1 fittings.. She is based in Belgium and thus GMT+1, and had to leave at midnight local time. (11 EVE time). This particularly unlucky due to the loot picked up in a set of escalations on a "combat" site that was picked up right at 11... and finished at 0:30. Corelli C-type 1MN MWD, + a few Shadow Serpentis goodies off the overseer at the end... I also now have 2 serpentis small blaster (or is it rail) BPC's (for fitting to towers). Anyone interested in bidding for these?
The escalation took me all over Gallente space - including a trip via low-sec to Stacmon via one of the most camped gates I think I've ever seen. Was glad I was not travelling in other direction as the sensor boosted ships sat waiting for outbound travellers from Stacmon would have locked even my AF in a very short while...
Why the new players, well I'm a sucker for them - and being honest our base corp hanger isn't exactly loaded with "choice items" - but it is better in many cases than the junk new players can buy off market (lots of named mods, but not super expensive ones). So if any new player empties hanger, we'd be 10mln down... no big deal when the corp assets can easily recover from that.
Industry this week has been good. 180mln in bank, 250mln on mkt, and about 200mln of mineral stocks. Some minerals low-ish though, so need to restock on high-end's. However need to keep corp cash reserves high due to plans below.
Considering buying minerals down in low-sec, its way cheaper in the region I'm based in now (like 1.5 isk less than the Ours trit price). With the Transport ship/Blockade runner being a short while away, hopping through gate camps shouldn't be a huge deal. Am thinking of multi-hop logistics, with hauling vast quantities of minerals to a office in a gateway system to high-sec (say Stacmon).. then hauling them up to production base via a rigged Itty V, or a freighter. I think freighter would greatly increase profit margin, and make the hauling a less frequent thing...
Current plans:
In 1 week: Covert operations ship for moving high value items around low-sec (should allow the 500-1bln isk's worth of high value items to be moved from low-sec to Ours for sale).
In 1 month: Transport ship - for moving quantities of minerals around low-sec + POS fuel..
In 2 months like to see Corp put up a research, reaction and moon-mining POS in low-sec. A few systems in mind for this, but need the cov-ops to go scanning for minerals. POS may go up sooner if good items found. Need a few more corp members who can fly decent defensive ships and PVP experience before POS goes up.. so I see myself/Jax/new member (who's name I forget) going roaming in W-space/low-sec with cheap-ish ships prior to this..
Beyond this, I'm thinking training up pre-requisites for carriers....
Going to be online this week tonight (extremely limited, just movement of ships and and purchase of t2 drones to replace those killed) - and hopefully Weds night, and again Sun. Real life does get in way of EVE sometimes.
Am I the only one who's got lots of under 24 hour skills left and can't wait for new expansion to enable all these to be finished?

Industry update
Well, its been a few weeks, so heres the DSTIC trading update as far as my characters go - I havn't had a chance to catch up with Jax to see his stock situation:
Corporation cash on-hand: 100mln ISK (give or take).
Mineral stockpile (at last count): 150mln ISK or thereabouts.
Stock on-hand to be sold (but not on market): 50mln ISK or thereabouts + 50mln ISK's worth of minerals tied in production that finishes Wednesday.
On-market: 170mln ISK. Sold out 100% of several lines over past few days. What is it with people buying batches of > 100 items!
Personal wallets: Low - really low - under 75mln on hand. Expect even this to take battering. Have placed a snake implant for sale at lowest in region price, in Ours - to top this up by 60mln. Its a false reading though really as got about 1/2 a billion of goods out in low-sec, which I need a covert operations ship (can fly one in days now thankfully). Will be flying out to recover said goods asap this week.
Why the above changes - well blueprints were purchased and researched, and theres a few months backlog before profit can be taken from these... More blueprints also need purchasing, so I sense a spending trip is required.
Skills also are getting expensive - spent around 50mln this past week on new skill books for Deafplasma/DeafTurret.
Overall - its positive. EVE-mon is also showing DeafPlasma may overtake Jax for 1st time in overall Skillpoints over coming days/months due to my training rate being vastly greater currently.
Overall industry also needs to start research on T2 component BPO's for the items we're planning to make...
All looking like will be setup for the new expansion in terms of readyness - probing/scanning skills - check - Cov Ops capable - check. Only thing missing for one of my plans is Gallente Industrial 5. This is the next skill on the list once Covert Operations ship is mine.... Only downside is total available funds (as ever) not being huge. Once covert ops ship is mine, plan to go on a moon surveying run and look to deploy a POS in low-sec as the next overall phase to the plan... and deploy science labs + moon mining (yes I know this is a 300mln or so investment - but by that stage we should have that on-side as petty cash.
Is anyone else hoping surveying missions into W-space could be cash cows? Jax is setup for battleships (so need to get him ready for PVP fit battleships)... I'll be flying a Myrmidon fit out with T2 drones, tracking computers (speed script) + medium turrets (possibly T2 rails or blasters). Hopefully 2 characters will cut it (+ a hauling & salvaging covert ops blockade runner or covert operations). We'll see.
Anyone else in the "just can't wait" mode for the new expansion?

Back from a short leave of absense.
Well, it's been a week between postings, which I try to avoid but are sometimes necessary. Reasoning was my g/f moved in finally (been awaiting the day a while) meaning time was limited Fri-Mon while all was sorted and the stacks of boxes packed then unpacked, and the office tidied so was finally usable. Works also been totally crazy busy with problem after problem - so time to play has been limited to 15 minute bursts here and there.
Crazykinux has added me to the EVE blog pack - as of last week (I missed the posting due to above issues - but linked here!) so I'd like to say Hello to any new readers who have discovered this blog using this method.
Of course the above being away from EVE doesn't really mean away - I've used the time to set some long skills going, and gave the corporation shop a full restock. Hit an amazing barrier as of Sunday - 250mln ISK of items for sale - all in the one single station - all on my personal character. Doing industry jobs with only 15 mins of playtime here and there works a treat.... its one reason I continue to play EVE whereas other MMO's just tended to lapse due to the high input required.
For the moment, similar to my corporation member Jax, I've moved both my characters back to the Ours central hub from which the corporation operates on a day to day basis, but left jump clones over in the "exploration area" where I've found great spoils - allowing quick jumps back to do a few days exploration. Obviously I've also left the ships required for this back in same area.
I can't wait for next week - as finally Gallente Frigate 5 will be done on my "scout" - meaning Covert-operations frigates and thus the reduced scan times are but a few hours away. Vital for the upcoming expansion.... which I can't wait for.
On the subject of which, once its out I think the corporation will have to go on a recruitment drive for characters interested in joining us in exploration/combat in late Feb/early March - as based on the recent Dev blogs - I think it'll need a group to be able to be effective - though we may be able to do with myself and Jax on, we probably ideally need 2-3 others with AF, BS, BC type ships. We also likely will need more industrialists later this year when Jax/myself start hitting limits on amount of production slots..

Industry updates & Tech 3
Now corporation has a stack of BPO's to research, I suppose the next step will be a high-sec POS - its on the list now as a possibility, and I suspect we'll have a research pos in ~ 2 months from now - as after all its cheaper/no-queue.
In good news, with the current focus on the Exploration profession (according to latest EON - which I don't have yet) looking like it may be a winner with T3 items coming soon - so this current skill path looks to be good (although diverting from invention temporarily is bad - getting invention datacores is good).
Need to research the Gravity rig that reduces scannning time ref: exploration - as looks like corporation has the parts in stock needed to run off a few of these to speed up exploration a lot.
Mineral prices to me appear mostly unchanged from last few months. Trit still seems unreasonably expensive compared to how it was back last September/October. Can't believe its still the Orca effect. Maybe at some point I'll mine, but the coroporation still overall has a no-mining policy.. instead refining and buying off mining folks on market. Still need a mining partner corp to supply us ideally, but sales are not as quick as over the christmas period...
Over the weekend restrocked a few lines that had sold out 100%. Full sell-outs are very annoying as someone else can jump in on your parade and start selling items... I've got my customers and they seem to know I keep the stores well-stocked.
The good news is Peak concurrency for the EVE cluster is still going up. I'm sure I saw 46750 upon login on Sunday - when it hits 50K it'll be a real plus. I just hope the presumably new-players joining the game stay. In fact I may go and fly with a few in next few weeks on Sundays to try and get some new corp "blood". Well that said, I will be this Sunday - following one I'd love to, but will likely on be a mag-train back from London to the little known town of Ipswich in the Sol system all being well.
I also note the above "gains" are pre-the-shop boxed launch of EVE by Atari in March. I really hope this brings a lot more players to this excellent game!

Kill of sight & Big blueprint runs
Well, in news, I'm kill-on-sight in Caldari and Amarr space. Brilliant. All the missioning to get faction for research agents has had its disadvantages in making me a target at gates. Autopilot is now a no-no.
Gives a slight problem in terms of getting from/to Jita - suspect I'll need to get a Sales-alt setup to resolve that in a very "piratey" fashion. Can't imagine getting skills to fly a hauler and a fast frigate (for expensive items) will cause too much issue.
The above did cause a problem and an almost-very-embarressing moment when chatting to Jax on Monday night. I'd been blueprint shopping for around 100mln ISK's worth of BPO's in Amarr and Caldari space, and got distracted and thus missed the Caldari militia hitting my frigate and taking it well into armor! Luckily ship is designed to warp real quick and escaped. The "scaredy cat" can go 3000m/s if needed via MWD to get out of dodge (I go BPO shopping in a inertia stab/MWD fitted incursis). In good news I think we've now got every BPO we will conceivably need for the mid-short-term for the corp right now, apart from the T2 component BPO's... Jax also spent 70mln on BPO's from the other corp wallet... Now we have a poor corporation for the short-term while we research the new BPO's to get them "production" ready. As the mineral stockpile is good the "poorness" of the corp will not remain that way for too long.
Scarily we're hitting the point as a corp where Corporation research and manufacturing jobs are taking a page of my screen - and its actually hard to work out if I'm using all my slots - going to have to start looking to filter!
Yesterday my ISP has issues (AAISP) - meaning I didn't get to change skills in the morning or evening periods - as I thought it'd be out for 24 hours (it actually was usable from 8pm, but I didn't even check computer until midnight when it was too late to do anything useful.
Tonight should be online, ISP willing, and will try to get some missions done - need personal funds (which are lacking due to fact I personally donated around 100mln for BPO's in december) for some of the personal skills that shortly will be required - and its not quick to gain those when you're saving salvage for corporation activities (we'll be building some cargohold optimisations shortly to fit to the Itty V's we will be buying/building).
I hear we're due a thaw tommorow and the snowballs will melt. It doesn't look like the snowballs here in the Sol system will melt though - had snow in the back garden since Sunday and no sign of a melt yet.

Happy New Year
Apologies for the lateness of posting, but I've been doing Christmas things and hardly logging in... Not due to anything except my girlfriend discovering gaming (but not EVE) - and thus spending all of christmas playing games such as Farm Frenzy 1 & 2, Zomba and Bejewelled 2... Downsides to that are the PC being hogged by a Farm frenzy athon.
Of course, being EVE, skill training was taken to task over the Christmas period. Looks like a fully tech 2 fitted assault ship will be mine in under a week. I think it'll be time to get EFT out at that point to think of some optimum setups. Interestingly, due to a good rounded skillplan, at the same point I should also be able to fly interceptors. (Gallente Frigate 5 will be mine by end of tonight - I hope!). Such anticipation in getting my 1st tech-2 hull :)
Industry done reasonably well over the period, some lines completely selling out (total sales over 1 week xmas week period of 100mln, of which ~60mln is profit). A huge 200mln set of buy-order's for minerals still has 100mln outstanding (and still best price in station). The corp mineral stash will shortly be at its best level ever due to this, although we are using more high-end than the buy-order is filling daily, so will need to find a new location for this.
Last night was spent running corp-missions - we managed to complete 6 in a 1.5 hour run, which was pretty decent. Now got 2 haulers 100% full to fly back down tonight to unload minerals and refineables.
Looking forward to this week as should be able to get some serious play-time in, due to a general lack of normal TV programming to watch, and also a complete hunger to play from the complete loss of play-time during the last week and a half.

Industry update
Well, its been almost a week, so I thought I'd give an update on trading situation:
1/ Tritanium is increasing still. 3.87 was the last big buy order I got filled. Considering Trit was under 3.0 last year, this is massive inflation.
2/ High-end minerals are continuing to fall. Zydrine/Megacyte orders get filled quickly typically and our stockpile of these is reasonably large still. Still having issues getting Mexallon orders filled in a timely manner.
3/ Mineral stockpile stands at very high levels. I don't think I can complain when the manufacturing hanger has > 11 mln Pyerite (from a all-time high of > 14).
In blueprint news:
We went shopping, and spent > 90mln on new blueprints on Sunday. Some aimed at T2 production, some aimed at profit. Profit margins on some of the items are > 100%, and this is for tech 1 stuff that sells reguarly. We actually ran out of BPO's needing ME research believe it or not on Saturday...
We plan another blueprint shopping spree on Sunday I think - a trip down to amarr space for more T1 item bpo's.
Oh, and around 150mln on market for sale from my personal characters on Sunday too :) Total sale-orders = > 200mln now. When this was 100mln a month ago, I'm still happy with the approx 100% month on month growth rate. Also am using less sales-slots to accomodate this than I was last month too..
A question - are there any good transation/journal API applications that allow us to monitor sales volumes/growth corp wide easily? Or will I need to cut my own?? This is because I want to monitor on a per-corp member basis their contribution to the corp (this is ahead of a recruitment drive planned for new year to add 2-3 industry folks to the corp).

Industrial update for last week
Industry is progressing so well now.. turnover of at least 100mln isk last week (its hard to compute without going to excel right now!) Personally I turned over around 50mln. A turning point was hit earlier in week when mineral buy-orders exceeded sell orders for a 2-3 day period.
Ship sales - are going through roof and are definitely our top seller - in fact so successful we're putting around 45m isk of ships for sale tomorrow.... We make from 500k to 800k per ship depending on location.
At the weekend to save on build costs we even bought some low-priced ships and resold for the "going" rate successfully a few times. A maneuver christened "poaching". Its as if some folks don't want the huge margins possible on this line :)
Yesterday was almost 100% focussed on Industry in the period I was online, building massive amounts of stock (several of the manufacturing jobs were 4+ days in length) for frequent sellers we were low on. Whats nice about these items is the competition is low, and we can place an order on and leave it without micromanaging, and still make 50-75% profit over a month or so.
Mineral prices - stable, even decreasing slightly in past week from my mineral guidelines. High end minerals such as Zyd are available, and cheap. We now have a massive stockpile of Zyd and Megacyte - enough for a few weeks I think.. Problem is volumes, some weeks we fill a buy-order in a day, sometimes it takes a week. Now instead of placing a once-weekly order for the items needed to build, we're actually constantly buying items.
Mineral stockpile - decent, at least 100mln in stock currently although some holes - Mexallon and Trit in particular is lower than I would like.
Due to above, hauling is becoming an issue, in fact a Iteron V will be the next major skill trained for (above all invention/probe skills) on my main industrial character.
A question - does any corp want to contract for some regular mineral supplies (priced to be negotiated but should be competitive with buy-order rates) (to a station of our choosing)? With us growing exponentially, and buying 100mln a week on average - I'm thinking we'll need to start partnering with a mining corp to get to the volumes we need longer-term. We have no immediate plans to mine ourselves.

Ship production 101 & mineral price update
Well, at the weekned Jax started ship production after months of waiting for the blueprint to be researched, and its starting to pay off, 2 ships sold already. To the tune of 700K isk per ship profit. Thats monster profit and our highest per-item profit so far - and selling 2 per day = a nice little earner.
Downsides are the mineral stockpile is depleting quite quite rapidly. An example is Zydrine use. A couple of months ago, 4000 Zyd would have lasted a couple of months production. Now its lucky to last even 2-3 days. We purchased > 15k in the Sat->Sun period alone. The good news is Zyd appears to be being priced reasonably now, and availability of the high-end minerals is good and is "just about" keeping up with our demand.
Bad news is Trit, I don't know if its the release of the Orca causing this, but Trit is at 3.20-3.50 locally. A couple of months back, 2.91 or below was normal, and 3 was expensive.
Whats interesting though is despite the increase in costs of all items with Trit, prices of T1 items on markets are still continuing to fall. Watch out T1 producers (especially those with unresearched BPO's) as this may cause you problems.

Planning in EVE / Cost of EVE
What I love most about EVE is the fact you have to plan a lot in order to progress.
We all know about skill training plans... I'm talking about industrial planning (as we're predominantly a industrial corp).
Right now, corp has 8 blueprints being researched or copied simultanouesley by me alone (never mind other members). This is on a long term plan - each bpo being researched in will increase profit - and we only research pre-researched items (some items don't make profit at all!).
Theres not only that planning. Its also which BPO's we'll be making next. What are good sellers - and where is a good station to sell items (and sell items consistantly for a higher mark up than a major market hub). etc etc. This is all data which I certainally wouldn't share on a blog post sadly.
Last night I ran a lot of missions.... I took the opportunity to upgrade my weapons systems on my primary battlecruiser "DSTI Cookiemonster" to a named t1 equivalent prior to starting. Right now all systems on the battlecruiser are best named, or T2. This cost a lot, but has made the tank on the BC a lot stronger - prior to upgrade I used to have to warp on a few missions. After this this upgrade (and in doing 8 missions last night), I've not had to warp out at all, so thats 12m on equipment well spent. I've also optimised my railgun setup, so I can both snipe at 60km, and do serious damage at 20km, just by changing ammo types.
I hate to admit, I made a mistake when thinking I could use T2 weaponry. I thought medium railgun specilisation just required Medium hybrid's to L5. It didn't. It also needs small to L5, + small railgun specialisation to 4. Thats another month. But it'll be worth it. In meantime I'm going to concentrate on drones and other support skills.
The downsides recently to my playing is the cost has increased for us UK people with the recent exchange rate movement (this for those who havn't noticed). This means its now cheaper (I base what I pay on the cost per month) for me to sign up for a 12 month subscription from CCP direct in Euro's rather than pay in GTC's in USD sadly. I think I'll be treating myself to 2 12 month subscriptions next month, then a renewal of my EON subscription next month (my one year sub expired on the recent EON issue). I'll go back to GTC's once the dollar/pound rate gets better - its annoying as I like paying by GTC as it doesn't require me to hand my credit card over (I'm a bit paranoid about this).... I'm kicking myself for not buying a power of 2 sub last month, as a third character would really help me now. The cost of EVE has increased certainally, so I think I'm justified in saying I've been "Credit crunched"...

Battlecruisers are go!
Last night I though I had it sorted, but made a crucial mistake with DeafTurret: Myrmidon requires BC level 2, not 1. Doh! So I didn't have the required skills for my BC of choice until, well, past my bedtime.
I have 50m isk ready to buy, insure, and fit my new Myrmidon with the best equipment I can afford and use currently in Ours.
Industry wise, last night, decided to take a break for skilling DP on Refinery efficiciency as he can get to 5 during the time I'm out of game from next week onwards. Decided instead to concentrate on trying to get DP to have some of the skills required to do research - which is progressing very nicely. Though this is unlikely to be finished by time I go away, it'll be close. Once I can use a few research agents simultanously it'll then be a case of leaving that going while copying blueprints for invention and buying the Interfaces required.
Downsides are today I will not get a great chance to this new Battlecruiser... as time online is extremely limited today & tommorow due to needing to be up early tommorow & not getting home till extremely late same day. Getting old is really starting to eat into my Eve time as I can't stay up as late as I could in the past with an early start.
Best news is with some quick skill purchases tonight - I now have 2 chars capable of hauling in an Industrial ship, meaning mineral flow back to manufacturing base from purchase point is increased.
Has anyone else noticed the terrible inflation in Ours for Tritanium recently? 2.76 was the price this morning, a noticable increase from the 2.4-2.5 range of previous weeks. I am now a net trit importer into Ours, as its getting too expensive to manufacture from the in-system buy-order price.

Weekend updates
The new Tales from New Eden site is live. It's a blog where I'll put my eve fanfic when I get inspired to do so. It'll not be as frequently updated as this site. Its a very very low-publicity launch until I get some more Tales on there. And get better at writing fiction.
Skills, well, Deafplasma is currently still working on Refinery efficiency 5 (14 days left!). I may start him on advanced Laboratory skills shortly so I can get a few extra lab slots. DT is working on a multitude of items. DT can get a BC tonight and likely will be doing so and should also be doing his first L3 missions. DT is still months off being a decent pilot sadly.... But every week he is improving at missions...
Industry... wallet at 27m, 50m of items on market, and still a sizable stockpile of minerals of all types. Blueprint shopping is waiting until 45m. Did buy 10 million of trit over the weekend, as had run out! Also have to consider the period I'll be offline (almost 2-3 wks - though will be online in 3rd week on/off), and thus need to be building a huge huge amount of modules/ships for sale in the period offline. I have 8 days until the offline period.
I've been waiting for the inevitable mission into Decon, luckily so far have avoided that particular bunch of pain for the moment - but expect it to happen at some point, especially when I start doing L3 missions. Thinking of fitting the BC to also deal with threats from PvP - well at least to allow me to be competitive. I think a warp scram, afterburner (as will be in deadspace a lot), and webber will help here...
Can't wait for L3 missions when I login tonight.

Corp Update, USB headsets...
Last night, Deafplasma got a mail from a potential new corp member - a seeminly nice guy or gal (though given its eve, lets assume a guy...) from Canada - he certainally wrote a excellent EVE-mail indicating his aims in game which seem to concur with the corps. Unfortunatly I didn't have time to formulate a mail/speak to the guy as he/she wasn't online all night. Hopefully I'll catch him online at some point during the week - as he's an older character he really could assist with corp growth.. If not I'll reply with an EVE-mail today sometime once I get home this evening.
Jax's USB noise reducing mic arrived (like me he's using a PS2 socom style headset, which he acquired on ebay for a similar price to mine). We had a chat from 11pm -1am using voice, which is far nicer than chatting in game as you can be doing other activities at the same time :) I should comment to other EVE players that these PS2 headsets are great for EVE voice, Teamspeak etc... When you connect them to USB on the PC they present as a new sound card in/out. You switch ALL sounds in windows to use normal soundcards, and set eve-voice/teamspeak to use the headset. The noise reduction means I can have music playing, but to people I'm chatting to they can only hear my voice - can't reccomend this enough...
I'm basically playing on my own next 10 days, due to various real life occurances in Senx and Jax's life involving lack of broadband from both for a while... its going to be strange, was getting used to those guys being online.
In good news, the corporation mineral stockpile is now growing daily, and is keeping up with 2 traders running with it...
Tonight I won't get to play much - but should get a chance to refresh sell orders. I'm down to only having 47million of goods on the market - which for me is very very low.

Level 2 missions
Faction grinding has got me to the point where I can run L2 +18 missions finally for the agent in the station where the coporation hanger is. This makes life easier, as can base out of the corp hanger... which is handy when you need to refit for a particular type of enemy.
Ran around 10 missions last night, grinding them for isk. I need a Battlecruiser now, so am fundraising for the cash for one - but as all loot goes to corp for the industry growth - this does take a while - especially as I'm still stockpiling salvage for rig manufacture :) Deafturrets combat skills are growing daily, and he's able to use a MWD now. Ludicrous speed is now a setting accomplished by hitting MWD button.
This weekend in Industry have managed to get Deafplasma up to point where he's now 75% ready for invention. Still got some electronics & hacking skills to go... However need to work on social/connections skills... plan is to go to the Gallente Datacentre with a stack of tags so we can instantly get some very good Gallente standing. Base refinining efficiency currently at 92.5% - should be at 100% or close by end of week.
As ever with EVE, everything takes time, so you can't rush things...
One piece of good news is the Incursus BPO is now able to come out of research tonight - that will immediately go into production (although not in Ours as the build-costs will eat into profits there). Also moving frigates = a problem until we get the 30km3 industrial..
The corp will start recruitment properly in about 2 months I expect, as then we'll need some combat pilots... Looking at my eve-maps book, I've designated 4 areas to check-out, for POS placement potential - and another few areas for mining possibilities for those in the corp who may be interested in that. Far enough away to hopefully be quiet and relatively speaking pirate free - have stations's present ideally (not essential)... and low-ish sec - but not so far from high-sec that we can't get stuff back to ours for manufacure, then out to sales hubs.
Prior to going out there, it'll require some map work to check on system activity (ie pod-kills etc), plus a cloaked scout to meet the residents. Everywhere has existing residents, so finding if they are Pie/not-pie will take some time.
I also need to check research agent locations - as we don't want to spread our wings too far. Well until we have jump-clones anyhow :)

Waiting for isk - production semi-halted
Over next few days I'm not going to have much time online (until Sunday), so I'm leaving the industry of the corp in the hands of Jax... Basically when I do login for 20 mins, I'll be running off production jobs for the corp, which Jax will finish and place on market for me in his new location.
Its a good way to get the 2nd "retail" outlet started for the corp - as otherwise we'll be waiting 2 weeks for Jax to get PE to 5, and I've got spare production slots at the moment... so why not start industry-2 division this way ?
Well, basically we're trying to get the main industry wallet to 40-50m to allow for 5 new blueprints to be purchased - I'm afraid which ones would be a need-to-know.. research has identified that one of these alone has a 650k profit per run, and the end result sells well... downsides are to get the full 650k when we buy the blueprint, it needs to go into ME research for 30 days. So great for future growth... not so great for now. The other 4 I've targetting may sell better without ME reasearch, but I havn't fully calculated the profit margin on these yet.
In the meantime, plans for this next week are continuing to improve both players learning skills just a little - though with a main aim for DP to get perfect refines (minus standing loss) in Ours... should take to mid next week for this. Standing loss we're working on as all corp members are running missions when online.. for isk and for standings.
